Moving

After celebrating New Years at home which was perfect, I got hit with a rent increase (more than the government regulated percentage) effective immediately which is been happening every year for the last 3 years.

So I decided to move with move with my fiance into his grandmother's condo which we bought last minute.(God bless her soul) IT ALL HAPPENED SO FAST! The paperwork and financing was made easy thanks to my future father in law.

Early January we started packing all of his grandmother stuff  into boxes which is allocated for shipping to his aunts and tostorage. Imagine packing stuff for aunts who lives in other provinces over the phone. CRAZY right! Mid January we start moving her furniture into storage units and of course it had to be the two coldest weekends and being in the pandemic we couldn't have anyone helping us. My fiance and his 68 old father and I moved the furnitures while his mother prep food for us. IT WAS COLD, WINDY AND TOOK ALOT OF EFFORT BUT WE DID IT.

After finishing that we started packing my stuff form my place to start moving. We borrowed a truck from a used car dealership who I do work for, for the two weekends in February we needed it for.

February: Friday morning before the long weekend we went to pick up the truck, the wouldn't start (IT WAS -20 COMING OUT FROM A SNOW THE NIGHT BEFORE). After an hour we finally got it to start. We spend that entire day packing/loading the truck by ourselves. Away we go unpack that day's load. After unloading we went to my fiance's parents place and started to loose down his bed and load it into the truck that night. Saturday morning we load the truck with more things and off we went to unload to the condo.

The week was spent packing more stuff from my place. Came the next weekend, a now storm again with -20 temperature. We load the truck and away we went to unload again. After a full day's work we decided to call it a night. 7pm going up his parents driveway and the truck got stuck in the snow, took Chris and I 3 hours to dig the truck out of the ditch.  WOW, A NIGHT TO REMEMBER.

Saturday morning we are at it again but this time we were fortunate enough to have my sister and brother in law came to help us. They helped us so much and we were able to finish packing every last thing from my place.

After 4 years together finally our families meet each other. We had dinner together in the crowed dining room at the condo and everyone liked each ( BIG BONUS).

FINALLY IN OUR NEW PLACE TOGETHER, SOMEWHERE WE CALL OUR HOME AND BULID OUR FUTURE TOGETHER.

OUR HOME.

Giving back to others

A few weeks ago I saw this picture and remembered where I was years ago, A single mother with a young daughter.  Nights came and go leave me constantly crying myself to sleep and thinking about paying my bills and buying groceries. I laterally lived on a budget to make sure everything was paid. I kept it all to myself instead of asking for help, but I was lucky enough to have a great job. Years have pasted and I was  able to pull myself out of that place  between choosing a roof over our heads and groceries.  Now that I am able to give back to the SINGLE PARENTS/FAMILIES so they can worry about one less thing, I knew I needed to teach my daughter to give back to others. My challenge this Christmas is to get as many of my friends to pick items/similar items from the picture and fill a box(GET YOUR KIDS INVOLVED), and post your box on your social media (challenge your friends/followers too). This year especially we should be giving back because of the pandemic,...
